Steve Redhead
Steve Redhead is Professor of Sport and Media Cultures in the Chelsea School at the University of Brighton. He has recently been Visiting Professor in Communications and Cultural Studies in the School of Media, Communication and Culture at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, and is the author of twelve books including most recently Paul Virilio: Theorist For An Accelerated Culture (Edinburgh University Press, Edinburgh and University of Toronto Press, Toronto and Buffalo, 2004) and The Paul Virilio Reader (Edinburgh University Press, Edinburgh and Columbia University Press, New York, European Perspectives Series, 2004). In 2004, he was seconded as a specialist adviser on mobile city cultures and creative industries to the Government of Western Australia and Chaired Premier Geoff Gallop's Creative Industries Policy Taskforce for the state government in Perth, WA.
